Week 1 of 52, 2024 Edition

So we have arrived at the end of our first full week of January. Can you believe it? I certainly can't that is for sure.  I have been focusing on making some big plans and real goals for this year.

We are currently looking for our forever place. With all the unrest in the world I want to find our Safe haven. Where we can take care of our family and friends. I am not looking for hundreds of acres or giant barns. I want to have a small place that we can make ours and I want to bring you on our journey. I find if you write down your goals that you are more likely to accomplish them. I am looking to be held accountable for my plans, not just dream about them. So here is my goals for 2024.

GOALS FOR 2024

  • Make $25/day for 5 days a week.
  • Meal Plan on 2 week rotations
  • Reduce Grocery Bill to $300 month
  • Remove 5 items a week from my home to declutter
  • Save $100/month for Christmas by November
  • Post Blog Articles twice a week

I wanted to be very clear and honest about how we live our lives and wanted to share this journey with us. I hope you will come with us as we explore our new world.

Enough Already

Hello Everyone and Happy 2024. As I am sure by now everyone has seen the ads by all their favorite blogs or pages that are talking about New Year's Challenges. Some of these are to save money, or learning to be more self sufficient .

I have seen many that are Savings or Pay off Debt challenges. With the economy acting the way it is I can absolutely understand why tons of people are jumping on these.

I also want to save a significant amount of money this year because we have some big events happening.  But what do you do when you are living on a fixed income and don't have the opportunities to work an extra shift to make money? You need to start thinking outside of the usual box.

You will hear the usual things like :

*cut your expenses,

*use coupons,

*sell unused items from around the house

and things like that. I have to agree that they are great ideas but sometimes you have to think outside the box. I am not a financial guru or anything like that. I am just an average woman, who is a Mom, a Grandmother, and a Wife trying to survive.

I will post my own weekly goals and show you how I made them happen. Perhaps this will help to guide you on your own journey.
